First a beloved travel guide, then a world-famous TV series, Lonely Planet eventually became known as Globe Trekker, and reached 300 million people throughout its groundbreaking, 20-year run.
It changed the face of travel television, and ushered in a new era of immersive, host-driven programming. Each episode invited viewers to travel alongside the authentic backpacking adventures (and misadventures) of Ian and Justine. The world watched as they trekked their way across the globe with no script, no safety net—and no cellphone! *gasp*
Now Ian and Justine are back with a new kind of travel show—one that revisits the places they’ve been, and takes a look at how things have changed.
And once again, they’re inviting you to come join them on the journey.
