Are you in a position to underwrite Season 2? We’d love to hear from you and find ways to collaborate! Hello@ourlooneyplanet.com
$80,000 is needed to produce Season 2 of Our Looney Planet. Season 2 will consist of 6 new video podcasts, with accompanying social media and marketing materials to continue to build upon this incredible community. We have a hard-working core team of five talented creatives already on board and ready to continue production– we need your support to ensure rhey can be paid what they’re worth!
MATLANA aims to raise an additional $12,000 to fund a one-year internship program for local community college students to work with our experienced documentary film and journalism team. Our team produces the entire sausage; from beginning to end R&D through post production, and we all look forward to sharing our knowledge, experience, and passion with the next generation of adventurers and professional creatives.
MATLANA’S MISSION:
MATLANA is an organisation which creates human connection, a radical goal in our increasingly fractured world. Storytelling is a timeless form of human connection which has become lost in a world of manic scrolling and 10-second videos. MATLANA offers a return to stories that ignite the human imagination and offer glimpses of the world beyond our screens and windows. Our team draws on experience of off-the-beaten-track travel in over 100 countries, to tell often funny, sometimes poignant, stories of the human experience. We take our audiences on journeys of sights and sounds through time and space, making strange places and distant people come alive. Through the conversations we have with people across the world, MATLANA invites curiosity, and creates bridges across cultures and perceived divides.
