Our Looney Planet thrives on a multiplicity of voices—and we want to hear yours. Video submissions are open, and this month’s theme is: ANALOG TRAVEL.

Below are 2 prompts. Pick one!

  1. Share a story from your analog travel past:

Remember that time you when you figured something out without your phone? When you got a recommendation from a local? When your GPS died and a stranger helped you find your way? When you got soaked to the skin because you didn’t check the weather app? Tell us YOUR story.

  2. Try analog travel:

Channel your inner Globe Trekker! Take a short field trip without your phone! Yes. For real. Go for a walk, bring some cash and your common sense. Go to that cafe you’ve been meaning to try out, ask for the time, or simply say, “good morning” to a stranger. Compliment that elderly lady on her lovely cardigan.

Now, describe your experience in a video and send it to us!
What happened. What surprised you? What did you learn? Would you do it again?

Submit your video by email no later than October 16, 2026.

  • Keep it under 1 minute.

  • Film vertically on your phone.

  • Find a quiet spot with good light on your face.

  • Telling your story in a language other than English? Please include an English translation in your email.

We watch every single submission—and we can’t wait to watch yours.
If we’d like to share your video, we’ll email you a release form.

Thank you for participating!

Love,
